The Central Mawlid of Thailand is an important celebration for Thai Muslims. It is a mission to honor the virtues and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) by striving and raising awareness in practicing the principles and conducting oneself according to his example, in order to create love and peace among all people. We have received the immeasurable grace from His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen, who will proceed to open “The Central Maulid of Thailand for the year of Hijri 1446 or Buddhist Era 2568” on Friday, April 18, 2568 by the Chularatchamontri, the Central Islamic Council of Thailand, the Provincial Islamic Committee, the Mosque Committee, Muslim Institutional Organizations, and Thai Muslims throughout the Kingdom have jointly organized to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad during April 18-20, 2568 at the National Islamic Administration Center, Chaloem Phrakiat, Khlong Kao Road, Khlong Sip Subdistrict, Nong Chok District, Bangkok. Throughout the 3-day period from Friday, April 18 - Sunday, April 20, 2568, the event’s activities are diverse, including religious and academic activities, an exhibition on the role of the Prophet in developing the quality of people and society sustainably, an exhibition in honor of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun’s 60th Birthday Anniversary, a national Qari test to take the male and female winners to join the international Qari test in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a youth Qari test, and a demonstration of Qari recitation by Qari scholars. From the 10 ASEAN member countries, the Qur'an recitation ceremony and the youth activity test, the academic seminar that reflects the shared values of this year's event, namely "Following the Prophet's footsteps, the path of faith, leading society to peace".
For another part of the activity, we received cooperation from government organizations, private sectors, and private and civil society sectors, exhibitions of various types of halal products from private entrepreneurs and community organizations, Java sparrow singing competition, and the traditional football match of the Central Maulid Festival of Thailand.
