Connecting Thai Halal products to build confidence in the Kuwaiti market.

On July 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at the reception room of the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand (CICOT), Pol. Maj. Gen. Surin Palare assigned Assoc. Prof. Dr. Isma'el Ali, Chairman of Halal Affairs, CICOT; Mr. Narongdech Sukchan, Vice Chairman of Halal Affairs, CICOT; Lt. Netipol Sakulshah, Assistant Secretary for Halal Affairs, CICOT; and Mr. Katawut Lohmud to welcome a delegation of halal stakeholders and business representatives from Kuwait, led by Ms. Uraiwan Kurtoud, Minister Counselor of the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait. The delegation included representatives from the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, Ministry of Information for Tourism Coordinator, Ministry of Information for Media Researcher, International Circle Corporation, General Trading & Contracting Monoprix Kuwait, and Al Jarida News Agency. They visited the CICOT office to learn about Thailand's halal standards and discussed future cooperation on halal standards. The delegation is interested in Thailand's Halal certification system, which includes inspection and control mechanisms, as well as the attractiveness of Thai Halal products, which are seen as having great potential in terms of quality standards and global acceptance.
