The Central Islamic Council of Thailand joins in driving the potential of Thai SMEs to enter the international trade market.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Surin Palare, Secretary-General of the Central Islamic Council of Thailand, assigned Dr. Ali Khan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Central Islamic Council of Thailand, to attend the opening ceremony and a readiness-preparation training session for SME entrepreneurs. This event was part of the "Thai SMEs New Opportunity Gateways" project, organized by the Thailand Textile Institute with support from the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP).

Attendees included executives and experts from relevant agencies, such as:

*   Ms. Suda Yangpaisan, Director of Industrial Development and Acting Director of the Thailand Textile Institute

*   Ms. Lalana Thakoengratsami, Assistant Director of the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP)

*   Mr. Wiwat Hirunpruk, Expert in Sustainable Fashion & Lifestyle Industries

The event was also attended by executives, distinguished experts, guest speakers, and SME entrepreneurs at the Grand Meroz 1 Room, Al Meroz Hotel, Bangkok.

The objective of this activity was to enhance the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs, preparing them to expand their businesses into international markets—specifically the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of the Philippines, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The event featured knowledge-sharing sessions covering export product standards, international trade regulations, export cost calculations, logistics systems, international financial transactions, and trade privileges—all aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Thai entrepreneurs.

The Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT) places great importance on empowering Thai entrepreneurs, particularly through the development of Halal products and services that meet internationally recognized standards. This initiative seeks to create trade opportunities, expand export channels, and securely and sustainably connect Thai entrepreneurs to the global market.
